Bash Guard Kit

Having the Carbon GT the ad advises you need to update the motor plates. I asked the question and the AI system advised they were included at not extra order or cost. Of course they werent... Got that sorted and installed, happy with the outcome. Thought once installed there was a 2mm gap from the end of the rods to the brackets, they did tighten up OK and doesnt look like it will cause any issues.

After installing the bash guard I wish I had (known of the option, if any to) purchased my GTR with it installed as it was not easy to fit. It will provide good protection to the motors, which are otherwise exposed albeit they at the back of the board.

Easy to fit, looks really good, I had a grab handle but have taken it off as it's easier to walk the board around with the bash guard instead.

Needed for those rare times I'm riding in the jungle. Really best thing about it,,, it makes a great handle and looks good, and dose protect the moters...

Kit bolted up fairly easily, but did require a bit of effort though. I did have to file a bit of material off the overall length on 2 of the 3 dowels, a file worked great as it is aluminum, they were perfect when I got done with them. If anything, it is better to be slightly over length than under length The kid looks great on the board and is very robust and should offer great protection to the motors.

Bash Guard for the GTR is a must have easily installed (make sure you use 243 blue loctite) and it it looks Awesome.

Good product to protect them motors easy to install piece of cake if you are handy

The kit is great I can't say much for the bolts there's soft grade bolt. Not only do they break off they strip out and in the pictures you can see the amount of paint that I didn't know that was in there tell after one bolt stripped on the head and the other broke off in the hole. What needs to come in those kits is a tap to clean the paint out. I'm not the 1st this has happened too I've seen other's in skate chats asking how to get these out and to fix the problem! It's called quality control If you're gonna sell a product make sure your product is up to the price that your charging for it!

Great addition to my GTR, only thing is I will be getting some locktight for the rod screws as I have had to tighten these up when they vibrate loose

Great piece of kit allows you to easily lift and tow board as well as sit board upright, and stops the knocks too , a must add on for me

GTR Motor plates have NO HOLES to bolt bash plates to.
That online video is shocking IMHO - why the wide angle view? Get in close so that you can at least see whats going on. A clear shot of the holes in the motor plate would have been nice. Looks like I need new motor plates with the mounting holes that will alow mountIng of the bash guard plates - unless there is another solution?!

Quality well built bash guard and so super easy to install just a few minutes.
Great protection for those beer can size motors 😂 also just love that it doubles as a handle to pull the board along rather than having to lift this heavy beast!

Prefect for protecting those motor’s while out hitting the rough trails covered in rocks and tree roots or just dropping off curbs in town. Very handy as it also doubles as a handle to pull the board along behind you if your heading into the shops.
Super easy to install and as always with Evolve great quality products.

The vibrations of riding on sidewalks was enough to shatter the metal without any impact. the screws strip regularly and the screws shear off (snap in half) in the holes. my motor controller has seized up
(stopping the board dead in its tracks) while riding down hill from loss of connection to remote. and im on my 2nd remote cause they aresocheap. Also they deleteall badhonest posts using keywords and star ratings. my previous reviews never post.

I didn't even get to bash my bash gaurd into anything but the vibrations of riding on normal sidewalks is enough to shatter their aluminum pieces over time. Then you have to buy an entirely new guard instead of the single piece that broke! yay wasting more money and materials! ....not to mention the hardware evolve uses is junk I've had to replace nearly all the hardware on the board from it either stripping heads or shearing off (in half) while stuck in the hole, all after 1.5 years of use... I have 30 year old boards that have never needed a single piece of hardware replaced, whats going on?!? For the prices we all pay this should not be the quality received.... p.p.s. remember me I was also one of the customers whom had your motor controllers seized up while riding downhill because it lost connection to the remote..... For what started as a product I was excited about and happy with it now seems to be thing after thing after thing that tells me I shouldn't be; Quality Products shouldn't need repair on a weekly if not daily basis. The upkeep and repairs after 1.5-2 years time is gaining rapidly on the original cost of the board. Not to mention the constant headache of needing to repair... I wanted a hadean but seriously questioning that thought after my experiences thus far...

Typically everyday I'm riding over roots, rocks, off 8" curbs and pretty much anything that gets in my way. The Bash guard helps protect the motors.

This gives a good amount of protection to the motors and allows to store the board upright without damaging the rear of the board. Nice addition.
