Bamboo - Battery Choice

I began electric longboarding on a boosted board and the evolve remote is absolutely a mess. The digital screen is cool and all, but the fact that braking is separated from the acceleration trigger only adds to the danger of electric longboards.

I bought an Evolve GTR with the bamboo deck and carbon off road wheel set for my son so we head out eboarding together. I have a Halo Board Beast (ex US resident) so wanted to try out the local (and I believe original) electric skateboard. My son loves this board and I'm a little jealous of the off and on-road capabilities. The Evolve manoeuvres extremely well and is quite stable at speed. My only request after riding the Evolve after a year with the Halo Board Beast is to provide an optional dial controller which is much more progressive on both the acceleration and the braking (one dial) rather than the 2 buttons which can be a little jerky and I'm concerned on potential emergency braking accidents.

I already own a GTX and a Stoke but thought I would upgrade to a GTR. The GTR Remote is much better and more positive than the GTX and the Board feels more positive too. There is no lag when you hit the power button which you got with the GTX this gives you much more control.I think this is a great package all round. There is only one slight thing which I must admit is personal to me and that is the GTX deck is more flexible then the GTR, wether this will get more flexible over time. I think this is a great package all round well done Evolve. The £150 off was good too.

Rode with a friend (she was on a different manufacturers board) on eco mode from St Helliers to city & back, and still had 85% in the bank!!

I've had no problems with the battery. The battery has good life in it and last a good amount of time

The bamboo board has an amazingly smooth and flowing feeling. Just like riding powder but no lift lines and wearing shorts!

Got the new battery on and loving it. So easy to remove and pop another one out in the battle field. 😃🤙🏽

I want to thank Keeley and the team at Evolve. Keeley was so patient and knowledgeable on the demo session. As a complete novice she gave all the tips to make it feel that anyone could ride one of the evolve boards. I am now the proud owner of an evolve GTR bamboo all terrain board and loving it.

I have been absolutely blown away by how far you can ride on this battery! The furthest I've currently gone is 21.5km but I am keen to stretch the range to I hit that 0%

No matter where I want to go there is always enough juice to get there and back comfortably without stressing about running out of battery.

Battery seems to last well considering I am 90 kg. Only thing I would recommend is the to change is the rubber charger socket bung. It doesn't stay in so I have to tape it up before I ride. Maybe would be better to have a threaded plastic cap to protect the charging socket. Other than that it's very good.

I m in amazed with the battery range , I m 89KG and on my both carbon GTR and bamboo GTR doing with all terrain wheels 30KM and street wheels 50KM and I did around 1000KM with the first board the bamboo and still the battery preformed the same range , I m amazed .

I finally got the board after some difficulties trying to use the board builder on the website, my first charge wouldnt go past 92%, support was quick to respond and had to run the battery flat as it wasnt calibrated. while running it flat it went from 30% to 0% immediately, but still ran for quite a while wheels up. After flattening the battery i tried to charge but the battery charger didnt show red and dont think it charged properly but had some small charge in it as led lights were on. The remote read 0% anf wouldnt chamge no matter how long i left it. Pretty disappointing for a new board after doing my homework i thought i had purchased the right choice.. Hopefully it will come back fixed with no more problems.
